If you are looking to get fit with some gentle, sociable exercise after an indulgent Christmas break, then Lincolnshire’s free health walks might just do the trick.
A number of walks take place every week in Louth and the surrounding district, as well across the whole county.
In Louth, there is a 3-5 mile ‘Walk N Natter’ walk every Tuesday, starting at the Meridian Leisure Centre, from 2pm until 4pm. A similar walk (3-4 miles) takes place every Thursday, starting at the same place and time.
The ‘Manby Community Walk’ (2-3 miles) begins at the Lancaster Arms in Grimoldby every Wednesday from 10am until 11am.
A short walk (2-3 miles) takes place in Mablethorpe every Friday except bank holidays, from 10.30am until 11.30am, starting at the Station Sports Centre.
Elsewhere in East Lindsey, there are free weekly walks in Skegness, Woodhall Spa, Wainfleet All Saints, and Spilsby.
Everyone is welcome, and there is no need book ahead - just turn up wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. Click here to view further details, and the full list of walks in Lincolnshire, or contact Tracey Richardson, East Lindsey’s walk coordinator, on 01507 613446 for more information.
