A new apprenticeship scheme for 2015/16 has been developed by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) to provide an opportunity for new talent into the Trust.
Working in partnership with Lincoln College LCHS has been successful in appointing 12 apprentices into two key apprenticeship frameworks; seven in to Business and Administration roles and five in to Health and Social Care roles. All 12 Apprentices have been appointed to 15-month fixed term contracts.
Khonzie Ndlovu-Gachengo, Head of Education and Workforce Development at LCHS, commented: “We have welcomed our 12 new apprentices and are very pleased with the number and the quality of the applicants we received, working in collaboration with Lincoln College in true partnership.
“This will be an interesting and exciting 15 months as we work, support, develop and grow our workforce within their chosen areas of work.”
Bonita Poole administration apprentice based at Louth Hospital said: “I wanted to work in the NHS and specifically LCHS because it is a local community resource.
“I’ve only been at my placement for just over a week and I already feel as if I have been here for much longer.
“The ward staff are accommodating , friendly and make me feel like a valued member the team.”
