A North Somercotes man is due to appear in court on a charge of taking a car without the owner’s consent, and then driving while disqualified.

Mesut Unek, 29, of Willerton Road, allegedly took a blue Peugeot 206 from Tetney Market Place on October 27 last year, without having permission to do so. He is also charged with driving the car in Tetney, while disqualified, on the same day.

Unek pleaded not guilty to both charges at a previous court hearing on December 2.

He is due to appear at Skegness Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (March 20) for the trial.
