Pupils from Louth’s Deighton Close School were busy working on their community services programme in 1986.

Pictured here are a number of youngsters clearing off graffiti from one of the shelters that was situated in Westgate Fields.

The boys took part in a number of projects like this, including cleaning and preparing the war memorial in the run-up to Remembrance Sunday.
