Nostalgia: Louth students turned back the clock
In March 1998, students from Cordeaux High School visited the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds.
The visit gave the students, who were all stuyding history, the chance to experience the sights, sounds and smells of Victorian slum life.
They also learnt about how people in the 19th century coped with diseases - and the ordeal of surgery before anaesthetics, as well as the discoveries of modern medicine.
