The Louth Community Larder is very busy - in the last month they have distributed 55 parcels to those in need, up ‘a dramatic amount’ on the same time last year.

A spokesperson said: “We are grateful for all the donations that have been received at the Trinity Centre, and were particularly touched by the generosity of so many people at Harvest time.

”We are now approaching Christmas and, as well as the normal distribution of parcels we are preparing Christmas hampers for families in need.”

The following items would be particularly welcome at the moment: Chocolates/sweets, sweet biscuits, fruit juice cartons, sugar, tea, coffee, tins of custard, stuffing and tins of fruit.

Please take donations to any of the churches in Louth or call 01507 605803.
