TWO friends are gearing up to walk 26 miles from Ludford to Woodhall Spa on the Viking Way to raise funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Stacey Whitworth from Louth and Kev Phillips from Horncastle will do the sponsored walk on Sunday July 29.

Stacey said he wanted to increase awareness for the fund.

He said: “They are a deserving charity. My daughter wants to join the RAF when she is older.”

This will start a year of long distance training walks for Stacey every four to six weeks leading up to the 190 plus Coast to Coast walk in July 2013 from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay.
