Parade and service to remember the fallen in Louth

The Royal British Legion will be laying wreaths at Louth War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday (November 8), when a parade and church service will also take place.

The parade will leave the car park adjacent to the Royal British Legion in Northgate at 10.20am, and contingents are asked to gather there by 10am.

A two-minute silence will be observed at 11am, and the parade will march from the War Memorial to St James’ Church (via Eastgate, Mercer Row
and Upgate) at 11.15am.

The Royal British Legion will lay wreaths at 10.40am, and other wreath-bearers are welcome to join them.

To order a wreath, call Mr B. Papworth on 01507 604319 or send your order to 7 Harewood Crescent, Louth, LN11 0JD.

Wreaths can then be collected at the Royal British Legion prior to the start of the parade.

• In the event of cancellation of the parade due to heavy rain, please go to St James’ Church
and be seated by 11am.
