Fire crews had a busy time in Louth on Monday.

First they used tools to release two people from a lift in a building in James Street, at about 12.30pm.

Then they attended a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at a property in Nursery Gardens at about 3.30pm.

They isolated the gas supply, ventilated the property as a precaution and used a Zellweger gas monitor to confirm there was no gas leak.
