Revd Watt will be licensed at 7pm on June 15 at St James Church in Louth, and the Archdeacon of Lincoln will be officiating.

The Revd Watt, who was born within the sound of the bells of Lincoln Cathedral and has lived most of his life within a few miles of the city, is married to Sue who he met whilst in sixth form. They have four daughters.

Revd Watt has most recently been working as a Priest in Charge of South Lafford. Prior to being ordained, he has held a variety of very different roles including working in, and then running a pub in Norfolk and also working in a munitions factory back in Lincolnshire something which he says “challenged his Christian values”.

He latterly worked for the Environment Agency (EA) where he eventually became the head of occupational health and wellbeing.

Revd Watt trained at Lincoln School of Theology whilst still working full time at the EA and went on to serve his curacy at St Nicholas in Newport in Lincoln, where he was also a part-time chaplain at Bishop Grosseteste University.

He has served in a number of lay roles within the diocese and also in ministry on an interim basis. He has also held the position of Archdeacon’s National Development Officer on a half-time basis.
