Pictures, wood carvings and patchworks to enjoy at Manby Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Grimoldby Village Show

Over 150 pictures as well as wood carvings and patchworks will make up an exhibition of fine art coming to St Mary’s Church in Manby.

The event takes place over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7 from 10am to 4pm each day.

Each of the 150 or so pictures will be on sale and displays will also include Mr Reetham’s enchanting wood carvings of old rural scenes and Sue Fayer’s colourful patchwork.

There will also be a variety of craft stalls selling wood turned products, walking sticks, cards and metal work.

Entertainment will come by way of organ music, recorders and Lesley Walker Micklethwaite’s singers.

People can even have a go playing the hand bells.

And at 11.30am on the Sunday there is the chance to watch Philip Walker give a painting demonstration.

Ang go along to nearby Grimoldby for the Village Show on the Saturday to enjoy the many competitions in flower arranging, flowers, baking, vegetables and various others and craft stalls too, plus exciting games for the children.

There will be refreshments too at both locations and the Grimoldby Village Show which starts at 2pm at the school field.
