A pig has been caught hogging the limelight in Horncastle today (Friday) after it took a stroll around a Tesco store.
The animal was seen popping into the supermarket, although it’s not known if it went down the bacon aisle.
It had escaped from a nearby farm, and had to be led out of the store by two shoppers.
The tan and black pig was also found strolling down Prospect Street this morning.
It was later taken to the nearby Banovallum Vets, where it was later collected by its relieved owners after Lincolnshire Police tweeted a lost pig ‘alert’ shortly after 11am.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are happy to say that the pig is now reunited with its owners.
“Big thanks to residents of Prospect Street and staff at Banovallum vets for their assistance!”
