Playgoers prepare for 42nd Street

A big cast is busy rehearsing for the Louth Playgoers May musical 42nd Street.

Tickets are on sale now for this extravaganza, which is staged at the Riverhead Theatre from May 15 to 25.

It is directed by Sue Hamilton with musical director Tony Blackmore.

It tells the story of a humble, naive young actress named Peggy Sawyer who auditions for a new Broadway musical.

Songs include We’re in the Money, Shuffle off to Buffalo, Lullaby of Broadway and of course Forty Second Street. This is a song and dance extravaganza.
