Police are appealing for information after two burglaries took place in the same area of Louth within just two days.

PCSO Sally Read of the Louth Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said thieves broke into a garage on Legbourne Road (incident 49 of June 24) via the roof sometime between 3pm on Sunday and 7.45am on Monday.

Once inside they stole a yellow and black McCulloch lawnmower, an orange Husqvana ride on lawnmower, an orange Stihl chainsaw, a black De Walt battery drill in a black box, a red power drill in a black box and a drill bit set in black box.

And overnight on Monday night thieves got inside a farm in Kenwick Road and tried to steal a ride on lawnmower which was later recovered in the farm grounds.

They did however manage to take a Husqvarna hedge trimmer.

This is incident 99 of June 25.

Anyone with information about either of the incidents or who saw suspicious behaviour in the area can call Lincolnshire Police on 101 and quote the incident number.
