Police investigate stolen vehicles in North Thoresby

At 4.25am on Sunday morning (June 15), a silver Landrover Freelander, which had earlier been stolen from a dealership in North Thoresby, was found set alight on a track at Stainton Le Vale, near Market Rasen.

A red Volvo S224, which was stolen at the same time as the Freelander, has since been recovered but a third vehicle, a silver Volkswagen Passat, is still outstanding.

The incident is being investigated alongside an attempted burglary that took place shortly before 3am the same night at a premises on Manby Road in Legbourne, as reported previously. A vehicle was used to ram the security gates, but it is not believed anything was stolen.

Additionally, at around 3.10am on Sunday 15 June, a vehicle was used to force entry to the gated compound of Louth Tractors, in Tattershall Way, on the Fairfield Industrial Estate. The offenders stole two high value quad bikes, one of which has since been recovered.

Police are appealing to any witnesses who saw either of the three vehicles in the vicinity of Legbourne, Louth or the Market Rasen area in the early hours of Sunday, to contact them.
