Police investigate two separate incidents of animal theft in Holton le Clay and North Somercotes

Louth police are investigating two incidents of animal theft reported to them today (Saturday).

The force’s @LouthPolice account tweeted that they had received a report of 60-70 fish being stolen from a garden pond, in Holton le Clay overnight on Thursday.

They have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious to call with incident number 189, of May 23, 2015.

The force is also looking into a report of theft of ducks from a farm at North Somercotes with four of the birds taken over two nights.

Police said cable ties had been cut to gain access to pen.

Anyone with information should call police with incident number 47 of May 20, 2015.

Police are not linking the incidents at this time.
