Police investigate ‘unexplained’ death of man in Louth

Police are treating the death of a man at a house in Louth as ‘unexplained’. Police were called to a house in Spring Terrace, Louth about 5.30am today (Sunday) and found the body of a man in his thirties.

Enquiries are being made to establish the cause and circumstances of the man’s death. There was a post mortem examination this evening (Sunday) by a Home Office pathologist to establish the cause of death.

Another man in his twenties, who was in the house, was arrested.

Police will not be making any further statement on the incident until late tomorrow (Monday) morning.
