THE Police tractor which arrived last September, will be saying farewell at the end of this month.
The tractor has played a crucial role in helping to tackle rural crime and was generously loaned by manufacturer John Deere.
It was also sponsored by the National Farmers’ Union who paid for it to be fitted with police livery and a blue light.
The tractor supported Operation Fusion, Lincolnshire Police’s initiative to tackle crime and it was the star attraction at numerous shows.
Chief Inspector Phil Vickers, said: “The tractor has been so successful in promoting the use of security tagging and tracking devices that our colleagues in neighbouring forces have borrowed it for their agricultural events.
“We shall be very sorry to see it go.”
