Results are now coming thick and fast at the East Lindsey District Council count.
Respected Conservative Adam Grist has retained his Legbourne seat with 894 votes beating UKIP’s Charles Watson into second with 320 votes.
He pledged to “keep looking after the villages.”
Fellow Tory Robert Palmer won one of two seats in the Marshchapel and Somercotes ward, polling 1,299 votes.
He will be joined by UKIP’s Daniel McNally with 1,094 votes. Coun McNally now sits on the district and county as well as North Somercotes Parish Council.
Labour’s Patricia Newman was third with 489 votes.
