MP Sir Peter Tapsell was invited to view four Springs Estates along the coast in Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe and Anderby recently.
The MP for Louth, Horncastle and Mablethorpe was invited by general manager, Mick Wright.
With it being Sir Peter’s final year before stepping down prior to the 2015 election, it seemed like a perfect opportunity for his visit, having not been before.
Springs Estates has three holiday home sites, Sutton Springs and Lakeside Springs in Trusthorpe and Anderby Springs, just outside of Trusthorpe and one residential park in Mablethorpe.
Sir Peter visited three out of the four sites to see how all of them were progressing since the recent legislation of the Holiday Homes Act.
Mick Wright, general manager of Springs Estates said: “I thought it would be nice to invite Sir Peter along to visit our sites whilst he was still in Parliament and due to the fact he has not had a visit here previously, we of course also took him to visit the seaside seeing as it is on our doorstep.
“He was also able to visit three out of the four sites we have and was interested to discuss the changes we were making now the Holiday Homes Act has come in and our plans for the future.
“We have had to make a few changes since the act came in, but so far we have had no problems with these changes.
“Our future plans include, ideally, expanding the Trusthorpe Springs Estate and hopefully, in time, doing a renovation of Trusthorpe Hall, which we also own.”
Mick added: “Sir Peter thanked us for a very enjoyable visit and seemed impressed by the type of holiday homes that are available on the market.
“We would also like to thank Sir Peter for coming out to visit our holiday and residential parks.”
