Public meeting over Ludborough wind farm proposal

A public meeting is to be held to discuss a proposal at Ludborough for a wind farm on land at Damwells Farm, Livesey Road.

Lantanier Ireland Ltd is looking to propose up to four wind turbines with an operational life of 25 years on agricultural land.

As part of the scheme, a planning application has been submitted to ELDC to build a temporary 60 metre tall anemometry mast on land at Livesey Road.

Ludborough Parish Council canvassed the opinions of villagers on the applications - six were in favour and 61 residents against. Six people offered no comment.

A public meeting is to be held to discuss the proposals on Tuesday September 10 in St Mary’s Church, Ludborough, at 7pm.

Councillors and Melvin Grosvenor of the Marsh Windfarm Action Group are due to attend.
