A Louth woman is urging people in the town to be extra careful after her purse was apparently taken from her handbag by a thief.

The single mum said her purse, containing around £100 in cash was taken from her handbag from her place of work on Friday, June 14.

She said she was only momentarily away from her desk when her purse was taken from a drawer.

She said she believed she saw a ‘young couple’ acting suspiciously in the area beforehand.

“Someone went in and took my purse, they might have been watching me and saw me move away from my desk,” she said.

“I want to urge other people to be extra careful.”

The woman’s purse also contained bank cards and it is described as being black leather with a clasp on the front.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 527 of June 14.
