Pupils visit cinema to see silent movies

Over 100 youngsters from Lacey Gardens Primary School in Louth enjoyed a morning at the movies on Monday whilst rasing money for the town’s new hospice.

The years five and six pupils headed off to Louth’s Playhouse Cinema to enjoy screenings of two of Buster Keaton’s most celebrated silent films, The Navigator and The Goat.

The event was the Louth Film Club’s annual charity screening and saw a toal of 113 pupils invited along to enjoy the movies.

All proceeds from the screening will go towards the new Louth and District Hospice which is being build on land off the A16.
