Question and answer session with England women’s cricket captain Charlotte Edwards after Louth charity match

THE England Women’s Invitation XI versus RAF Cricket Association XI charity game is on Thursday August 16.

It is at the London Road sports ground in Louth at 1.30pm.

The match is in support of Breast Cancer Care and the RAF Benevolent Fund.

This is the first time the two teams have met and the match is part of East Lindsey District Council’s East Lindsey Live programme.

The RAF XI are the Armed Forces T20 cricket champions for the second year running, beating the Navy and Army in a triangular tournament at the Lords and they will provide the England team with ideal practice before they jet off to Sri Lanka for the Women’s T20 World Championships.

Spectators, who are advised to bring a garden chair or a deck chair, will find ample refreshments at the ground.

There is a charity dinner afterwards at the Kenwick Park Hotel with music, a comedian and a question and answer session with Charlotte Edwards, the England women’s captain.

Entry to the London Road Sports Ground is free but a donation of £5 would be welcomed with all proceeds, together with profits from the dinner, being split equally between the two charities.

The charity dinner costs £25.
