Railway chuffed with two awards in Heritage Railway Association Award Scheme


The popular Lincolnshire Wolds Railway has won two important national awards in the Heritage Railway Association Award Scheme.

The Publications & Media Section Awards, for the Most Improved Magazine and Timetable & Events Leaflet, was presented by Lord Faulkner of Worcester, President of the Heritage Railway Association, accompanied by Martin Vickers MP representing the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Heritage Railways, at Ludborough station on Sunday.

Lord Faulkner is pictured (left) with Phil Eldridge, co-author with Alf Ludlam of the book Gone But Not Forgotten.

The railway’s new £100,000 carriage shed has also been officially opened.
