There was a record attendance at South Cockerington’s Fun Dog Show held on Sunday August 25 which raised £1,370 for the church.

St Leonard’s Church thanked all the local businesses and local residents who supported the event, all the thoroughly exhausted but happy helpers and most of all the four legged contestants and their owners some of whom travelled from as far as Middle Rasen and Skegness.

As well as the fun classes, there was a brilliant heelwork to music display by the judges – Jackie Clarke, Vickie Price and Bev Williamson - which was much appreciated by the audience.

Show organiser Janet Pritchard said: “This is what village life is all about - great fun was had by all and we hope we can continue to do this show for many more years to come.”
