Louth’s branch of the Salvation Army hosted a Christmas lunch for around 50 local residents who would have otherwise been on their own on Christmas Day.

The lunch was held at the Salvation Army’s community centre in Church Street, and the Mayor of Louth Coun Sue Locking and her consort Coun Malcolm Locking went along on the day to welcome guests.

The Salvation Army provided a full Christmas lunch and entertainment, thanks to hard work and effort from the wonderful volunteers who cooking and helped and through the generosity of people who provided goods and donations.

The Rotary Club of Louth again provided transport for the guests.
