CANDIDATES with the tough task of filling Canon Stephen Holdaway’s shoes in the Team Parish of Louth will begin the interview process from September.
Mr Holdaway retired last year after many years in the role, serving the town.
The responsibility for finding the new appointment falls on the Bishop of Grimsby and the post has been advertised for some time now.
Lay Chair of the Team Parish, Tony Hill, confirmed that in the meantime a variety of retired and volunteer clergy are taking services.
Mr Hill also revealed that the newly appointed priest will have the title of Reverend, and not Canon, due to them being new to the role.
