Sessions are Louth Children’s Centre not under threat, council confirms

Lincolnshire County Council have moved to ease fears that some of the sessions at Louth Children’s Centre could come under threat.

A concerned parent called the Leader after hearing the some sessions would be cut in the near future at the centre, which is based at Louth’s Eastfields and Lacey Gardens primary schools.

Cath North, children’s services team manager, said: “The current contract for this service has come to an end and has been put through a competitive tender process, which is the usual practice in order to secure high quality and value for money services.

“Another provider has been awarded the new contract and therefore new services will be in place from April 1.

“The new provider will ensure that a range of sessions will be in place to meet the needs of parents and families.”
