It is closely approaching that time of year where children, men and woman get themselves laced up to take on Louth’s annual Run for Life event.

Each year the race raises funds for Cancer Research UK and unlike the normal races which are run across the country, normally aimed at women, the Louth Run for Life includes everyone.

This year’s event takes place on Sunday, June 29.

There is a 1k run or walk
for children and then the main 5K event for the men and women, with the women racing first.

Whether you want to run or walk, or even take your pushchair along, the event organisers will welcome you with open arms.

Fancy dress is of course encouraged and there will be on the spot prizes for the best ones.

The route takes in the beautiful Hubbards Hills Park and has great support along the way.

Last year’s event was the town’s biggest so far with 1,442 entrants helping to in excess of £33,500.

This year, organisers hope to beat that with your help.

So get your entries in, and why not get a friend to join in and enjoy this amazing event.
