Scottish songstress and Louth resident Barbara Dickson gave a fantastic performance in her first concert in her home town on Saturday night.
The singer performed at St James’s Church with accompanist musician and singer Nick Holland thanks to the Rotary Club.
They pair delighted the sold out church with a range of songs from Barbara’s 45-year career.
The concert was a prelude to the release of Barbara’s new album and national concert tour in September.
Afterwards she tweeted: “Had great time at St James’. The crowd was warm and enthusiastic, so another success! Off to Brecon via London and Bristol now. Onwards!”
Also performing were the local Coggle sister duo, with Rosie on the fiddle and Lucy on the cello. Barbara said the siblings were ‘charming’.
