A fete was held at The Joseph Morton Wetherspoons in Louth on Sunday (September 6), raising hundreds of pounds of children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Organiser Charlotte Gordon told the Leader: “We made £386.70 at the fete, and we would like to thank Hitomi and her daughters for her fantastic face-painting, glitter tattoos and henna designs.”
The impressive amount of funds raised smashed Charlotte’s target of £333.
Charlotte added: “The weather was fantastic we were really lucky! A lovely atmosphere, a great day, and lots of fun in the garden.
“Thanks to everyone who has supported this event - staff and customers alike.”
Charlotte is a team leader at the pub, and she is also the ‘Charity Champion’ having driven the successful Christmas raffle on the first year that the pub opened, raising over £1000.
