Children’s charity ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ is offering local residents the opportunity to join them for a special fundraising trip.
The trips will be on board the Belmond Northern Belle, which is the sister train to the world famous Venice-Simplon Orient Express.
In June and September this year, the charity will hold two trips to help raise enough money to make even more dreams and wishes come true for children in Louth and the surrounding areas who suffer from a life-threatening or terminal illness.
The charity has made a real difference to local families in recent years. Last year, young Kobi Thwaite from Louth went on his dream holiday to Florida with his family - their first family holiday ever - thanks to the charity’s fundraising.
On June 7, the Belmond Northern Belle will be arriving into Cleethorpes and Grimsby Town Station and will be taking passengers on a quintessentially British trip through the beautiful English countryside whilst offering the options of having Traditional Afternoon Tea (£185pp), Champagne Afternoon Tea (£225pp) or the Spirit of Travel Fine Dining Lunch (£235pp).
On September 12, the Northern Belle will once again pull in at Cleethorpes and Grimsby Town stations to take passengers on a fine dining evening with a twist. The team from the world-acclaimed Winteringham Fields Restaurant will be on board to cook a seven course fine dining menu throughout the evening (£295pp)
The money raised from the ticket sales of these trips will help When You Wish Upon a Star to continue their work granting wishes locally to courageous young children.
