LOUTH mum Sarah Ervin was delighted to raise £760 for Diabetes UK when she took on the Great North Run last month.
Sarah completed the 13.1 mile trek in two hours 14 minutes, and surpassed her £500 sponsorship target in the process.
“I really enjoyed it,” she said. “It was a fantastic atmosphere and Diabetes UK gave me a great leg massage in the finishing marquee.”
Sarah, who works at Spire Windows, was inspired to take on the run by her son Ollie who has Type-1 diabetes.
“A really big thank you!” she added.
