Local author Susan Dodd will be signing copies of her latest children’s book, ‘Dreaming the Dreams That Only Cats Can Dream’, next week.
The book follows the adventures of Benson, a ginger talking cat, and his human friend Mr Elvic.
Susan, originally from Louth and now living in Fotherby, said: “Mr Elvic finds a wishing machine, and him and Benson take their friends and relatives on some wonderful journeys.
“The inspiration for the setting is based on Cinder Lane in Louth, where my dad had a workshop.
“The trilogy is aimed at seven to twelve year olds - although plenty of adults have been buying them too!
“The book came out about three weeks ago, and it’s available on Amazon and at MSR Newsagents on Mercer Row.”
Susan will be signing copies of the eagerly anticipated book at the Mill House in Covenham St Bartholomew from 6pm on Friday November 29.
Susan’s books will be on sale for just £6 each, or £15 for the whole trilogy.
One pound from every sale will go towards helping a young cancer victim from Scartho in Grimsby.
Seven-year-old Lucy Sutton was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year, and her family are currently trying to raise £20,000 to pay for specialist treatment in America.
Susan will be taking part in another book signing at MSR Newsagents on December 13, from 10am until 2pm.
