South Willingham Parish Hall had been transformed by the members of the Management Committee who decorated it with a Caribbean theme in preparation for the summer barbecue.
Tables had been laid in preparation although guests were able to enjoy their food out of doors if they wished and there was a range of delicious delicacies on the menu.
Ann Crookes and Glynis Petterson had prepared the fantastic food including marinated chicken, prawns, a wide range of sausages with curried goat which were found to be very tasty and some spicy dishes too.
John Lacy assisted on the barbecue and thanks to all who helped and contributed the Caribbean Lunch was very successful in spite of a lower attendance than usual at Parish Hall events.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Cream Teas have had to be cancelled as there are insufficient committee members available to prepare and serve them.
The next event is to be the Harvest Supper on Friday September 17 at 7pm and tickets at £8.50 for adults can be booked by ringing Maureen on 01507 313584.
The meal will be followed by an auction sale of produce, preserves and home baking and donations will be very much appreciated.
