POPULAR author Georgia Twynham has become the patron of local charity Rej’s Dream.
Representatives of the charity met up with Georgia at the launch of her new book, Nyteria Rising, at Waterstones in Grimsby.
Georgia, from Leicestershire, has written The Thirteenth series of science fiction books for teenagers.
She wrote of Rej’s Dream on Facebook: “I feel so excited about the future and what I hope to do to help you.”
The charity was set up to help the families of children with life threatening or life limiting illnesses.
Rej’s Dream was inspired by the memory of Rhianna Jeffrey from Louth, who died in 2010, aged 13.
Since it was set up it has raised well over £12,000 to help families.
The next fundraising event is a coffee morning on Saturday, July 14 at the Conoco Phillips Room above Louth Library.
There will be a tombola, raffle, cake stall, refreshments and more.
