Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture has welcomed three new Trustees to its Board.

District Councillors Sarah Dodds and Pauline Watson, have both been appointed as local authority Trustees/Directors on the Board for

the year ahead.

The former Leader of ELDC, Doreen Stephenson, has also been appointed as a Community Trustee in recognition of her “significant skills and experience in the arts and cultural sector”.

Magna Vitae has been operational since January 1, 2015, when it took responsibility for leisure and cultural services from ELDC.

Chairman of the Trustees, Ian Emerson OBE, said: “It’s been a busy first six months for the new Trust and I’m delighted to welcome the new Trustees to the Board.

“I must also thank the former local authority Trustees appointed to the Board by the Council for their help and support in the Trust’s first

few months.

“It’s an exciting time for us all – SO Festival on the horizon, Wolds Words in development, and a great summer programme already lined up at our leisure venues and theatre.”
