Three purses stolen in Louth town centre


Three purses were stolen in Louth town centre on Saturday afternoon (March 21), and police are asking members of the public to be vigilant.

Police received three reports of theft of purses, which are believed to have occurred between 2.15pm-3pm.

Enquiries are ongoing to try and identify the offenders.

Police have advised that purse-owners can put small bell onto their purse in order to draw attention if anybody attempts to steal it - contact a member of the local neighbourhood policing team to request a small bell, if required, by calling 101.
