A1031 Grainthorpe and Conisholme roadworks now set to finish by Saturday 10 May after worker is injured

The completion date for the A1031, Grainthorpe and Conisholme roadworks has been put back to Saturday 10 May, due to an incident on Friday April 25 where a member of the workforce was injured.

An investigation has taken place and works have restarted to complete the resurfacing and surface dressing works. Diversion routes are in place, but will be removed for the early May bank holiday weekend and put back in place on Tuesday May 6.

The diversion routes in place are:

· Southbound Traffic should be stopped at the junction with the B1201 and be diverted down the B1201, then down the A16 and Along the B1200 back to the A1031.

· Northbound Traffic should be stopped at the junction with the B1200 and be diverted down the B1200, along the A16 and then down the B1201 back to the A1031.

Nick Marsh, Principal Highways Officer at Lincolnshire County Council said: “Motorists are reminded that only residents will be allowed access through the works to their properties, there is no through route so please allow extra journey time to follow the diversion route”.
