Driver cut out of car after crash on A16 at Haugham

The driver of an Audi A3 was cut out of his car after a collision with a van on the A16 at Haugham, near Louth, on Saturday morning.

Shortly after 9am police as well as fire and rescue crews from Louth and Alford were called to the scene after the car collided with a a Peugeot Boxer van.

Fire crews using cutting gear to release the driver of the Audi, a 33 year-old man from Great Steeping, who was later taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston but his injuries were not thought to be serious.

The driver of the van was from South Thoresby and was unhurt in the crash.
