THE ANNUAL Pride of Place awards have been presented in recognition of en hancement projects carried out in Louth.
The winners were:
l King Edward VI Grammar School – restoration and re-instatement of railings on Crowtree Lane.
l Ann Laverack – re-instatement of sash windows and panel door at her property on Lee Street.
l Meridian Leisure Centre – enhancing the town through it leisure facilities.
The awards were presented at Louth Civic Trust’s recent AGM .
James Laverack, from Louth Civic Trust, told the Leader: “We have been presenting the Pride of Place Awards for many years now.
“They are presented to people who have improved the street scene, for example sympathetic building design, restoration of an old building, or re-instatement work.
“This was the case with two of this years winners, however, with Meridian Leisure Centre we felt it was just such an asset to the town and was something we could all be proud of.”
