ARE you intrigued by the world of martial arts? Then why not try out local classes presented by the British Chinese Kickboxing Association.
The franchise, which has clubs spread out all over the country, runs two classes at the Meridian Leisure Centre and Eastgate Union in Louth.
These local classes specialise in kickboxing and kung fu.
Two classes are available on a Tuesday evening. There’s a junior class running at Eastgate Union from 5.30-6.30pm and an adult class at the Meridian Leisure Centre from 7-8pm.
A mixed adults and kids class also runs on a Thursday evening from 6-7pm at the Meridian Leisure Centre.
All of the classes also cater for beginners.
At BCKA, any fighter of any level or experience can be encouraged, developed and given the opportunity to fight internationally and under go belt gradings if they are willing to train hard.
This principle has been reflected with students Molly Riley (nine) and Jake Jolly (eight) as they have recently taken their senior gradings for brown and purple belts.
