A four-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle outside a school in Holton le Clay this morning (Monday February 8).
It is believed that the child ran out in front of a vehicle, leading to a minor collision.
The child involved was taken to Grimsby hospital as a precaution, and is not believed to have suffered any injuries.
PCSO Michael Dannatt, from the Louth Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This is a stark reminder to parents the importance of maintaining full control of your child until he or she is safely within the school grounds.
“Drivers also need to drive appropriately around schools, taking extra care due to the increase in pedestrians. Drivers also need to consider where they park their vehicle ensuring they do so in a safe manner.”
