A 23-year-old man from Grimoldby has been remanded in custody following an incident last week in which a 54-year-old man was rushed to hospital with a stab wound.
Thomas Daniel Appleton, 23, of Orchard Park, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of wounding Peter Heggie at the address. The patient was taken to Boston Pilgrim hospital in a serious condition and required emergency surgery, and his condition is now stable.
Appleton appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on January 21, where he faced a charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Due to the seriousness of the alleged offence, Appleton was sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court, where he will appear on February 2. He was remanded in custody.
Anyone with information about the incident can call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 406 of January 19.
