Sunday’s Christmas Craft Market saw thousands of people descend into the Market Place for a day of Christmas shopping and entertainment.
It was a freezing cold but dry and bright day, and traders were rewarded with large crowds throughout.
Music from local bands, a Punch and Judy show, choirs, brass bands and more on the stage, as well as the scores of different stalls meant it was a packed day of fun for local people and visitors.
The Leader stall saw a brisk trade of newspapers, as well as the free gifts we were offering readers.
At 3pm, the Christmas lights in the Market Place were switched on to illuminate the town centre for the next month or so.
This year was the first year under new management, after the market was organised by Louth Town Partnership.
