A SPECIAL ceremony has marked the official beginning of work on the new hospice in Louth on land off the A16.
Trustees of the Louth and District Hospice have worked for nearly ten years on plans to build the hospice and work is finally about to begin to bring plans to fruition.
Around 50 people turned up at the ceremony on Monday afternoon to mark the occasion in the sunshine.
Turning over the first piece of soil was Chairman of East Lindsey District Council, Coun Stanley Avison.
Watch the video to see Coun Avison mark the occasion after the speech given by hospice trustee Dale Crombleholme.
