VIDEO: Jilted John performs live in Louth

The eponymous singer of the novelty record ‘Jilted John’ - which reached number four in the UK Singles Chart in the late 1970s - performed the song at the skate park fundraising event on Saturday evening (December 12).

As reported, music and comedy was provided by character John Shuttleworth (created by Louth’s very own Graham Fellows) alongside performances from local bands Kinfolk, Loop Cycle and Robots Found Errors.

Jilted John (also created by Graham Fellows) was the special guest on the night, making a rare live performance much to the delight of the sell-out crowd at British Legion Hall in Northgate.

The single ‘Jilted John’ reached number four in the UK Singles Chart in 1978 and has featured on Top of the Pops.
