The 40-strong Kidgate Boys Choir performed the last Allegro Appassionato free lunchtime concert of 2012 on Wednesday at Louth Library.
Space constraints meant that only half the members of the 90-strong school choir could be accommodated, but they made a great sound with their seasonal music and received a rousing reception from the packed audience.
Allegro Chair Christine Maltman presented Christine Wood with a cheque for £150 for music development at Kidgate School.
A further three awards for the same sum will be paid this year to Lacey Gardens, St Michael’s and East Wold primary schools as part of Allegro Appassionato’s support project for schools and young people.
Allegro Appassionato will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013. There will be 36 free Wednesday lunchtime concerts during the year, beginning on Wednesday 6 February.
The full-sized Kidgate Boys Choir will be performing at Nichol Hill Methodist Church on Friday 7 December at 7pm with Louth Male Voice Choir at a fund-raising concert for Rotary charities.
