VIDEO: Lakings support campaign for the Lincolnshire sausage to be protected

TODAY’S video takes us to award-winning butchers Lakings of Louth who support a campaign for the Lincolnshire sausage to be protected.

The Government’s decision on whether the Lincolnshire sausage can have Protected Geographic Indication status in Europe is imminent after the Lincolnshire Sausage Association (LSA) began their quest more than seven years ago.

Louth represents the cream of the crop when it comes to the succulent Lincolnshire sausage with a sea of local butchers continually being praised for their award-winning sausages.

Butcher at Lakings of Louth, Chris Smith, said: “I wholeheartedly support the campaign for protected status and hope we can hang onto it.”

See Chris in action as he puts out those succulent Lincolnshire sausages which are loved by the nation.

The full story on this campaign is in this week’s Louth Leader, out now (Only 55p).
